I hope you are still reading comments. I crocheted for years but stopped when life got too busy. Coming back after several years, I no longer have the dexterity I had in my 40's (I am 81). I found that I was having trouble making a foundation chain with consistent size stitches. Your explanation and demonstration was very clear and after some practice I have improved very much. I'm not there yet but am sure I will be when I have some more practice.

Does anyone know the measurement of the blanket?
One of my first videos. I didn’t include size in comments. I apologize. It’s a toddler size blanket.
I always crochet into the back ridge (I call it the back "nub") too. Even if you add a border, it's much easier to crochet the border into the "V"s of the foundation chain. Neater and easier. Lovely little blanket!

My suggestion would be to use stitch markers. It helps me. I use them for All my projects.

You do it slow qnd repeat more once yAh🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😂😂😂😂. Im on the crazy side. Im also looking after my husband he? had to have his leg amputated about 4 weeks ago. We have been married for almost 40 years

Hello Nancy Ellen - love your tutorial! Have a question about purchasing the yarn. How much white yarn is needed? You mentioned 850-900 yards total of the Waterslide Variegated, but how much white did you purchase?

I know this video was posted years ago, but I was wondering what the size of the finished blanket is/was. Also, it is beautiful and your instructions are the most clear instructions I’ve ever heard, except for my Mom, God rest her soul.
This was one of my first videos when I started uploading to this channel. I did not put the blanket size in the comments. I watched the intro to the video and didn’t hear anything about the size. I apologize. I would guess from amount of yarn used that this is a toddler size blanket and likely around 36 to 40 inches wide and probably about 48 inches in length. But I can’t be sure unless I made another one. I gave that away as a gift. Thank you for your compliment. I apologize for leaving out that bit of important information.

How many chains to make about 10 hearts on the garland?
8 chains per heart. If you are wanting 10 hearts then you multiply 8 X 10= 80 chains. 80 chains would be the amount of chains you would need for 10 hearts on your garland. Have an awesome day! Thank you for the question and for watching.

Could u just like-simplify it like ur talking to someone who's never crotched before? I need one of these for ballet and decided to make one but I have no idea how and every single tutorial just says "do a slip knot" "double stitch" like im supposed to know how to do it
